Produced by the Montezuma company, this is a Blanco Tequila with a crisp tangy palate. It's great value for money and will work very nicely in cocktails.
Sweet vanilla and allspice. Mixed peels, dried flowers and a little cut hay.
Creamy, sweet palate entry with dried grass, roasted agave and honey.
Honeyed, spiced finish.
Crisp and tangy.
I'm surprised by all these negative reviews. My five friends and I absolutely love this tequila, me and two of my friends had it last year for my friend's birthday and expecting it to Be the horrible burning taste in the throat we were pleasantly surprised to taste a little sweetness to it. Found out the name of it and unfortunately they don't have it around here so had to pay 45 bucks to buy it and get it delivered. I then had it with my husband and my best friend and they loved it just as much. In fact we plan to buy another bottle when a friend comes back from her trip. We found it to be smooth and a little sweet and didn't leave a horrible nasty aftertaste. Might have to use it in a margarita one of these days I'm sure it would make an awesome one. I would say give it a chance, don't let these negative reviews turn you away from it, give it a try yourself and see how you like it
Montezuma is a good name for a it. Because it tastes like being sacrificed at Tenochtitlán. I have a lot of experience with Tequilana and Mezcal as a whole. I'm a bit spoiled because my sister grew up in the ghetto latino parts of California. I grew up in moonshine NH. She knew what was what from bartending for years before I was born. (Her stealing a Uhaul and booking it to mexico probably helped a bit.) I've drank nail polish vodkas too, still worst drink.
I had gotten the gold in this and it wasn't great but decent and drinkable..I've always preferred the silver tequila so thought this wouldn't be to bad..its awful. The smell alone doesn't even smell like tequila. The taste is horrid. Better to spend a few more dollars and get the jose
A real value! Montezuma is great in a Margarita or a shot glass!
a fabulous tequila to serve the obamas and clintons, only but the best for them.
