Tapatio Blanco Tequila - a back-bar stable, but not as you know it. This special edition of the classic tequila has been bottled at a higher strength of 110 proof (55% ABV), which has given it a punchier flavour profile, boosting the vibrant agave and peppery notes.
Savoury notes up front with baked earth and cooked agave, soon joined by flamed orange peel and raspberry eau-de-vie.
A big rush of earthy spices as it opens, followed by hints of ripe red apple and vanilla pod.
Drying, slightly flinty, with a touch of oily walnuts.
Saw this in a local liquor store and got it for the affordability and it ended up being the best tequila I had tried. Another plus is the state grown agave and old yeast culture which bring the real flavors. After doing shots and margaritas with friends they one by one started buying it too. Viva tequila!
Absolutely brilliant tequila!! Incredible value and you won't taste a better blanco (in my opinion).
Quite simply incredible! This stuff absolutely blew my mind when I first tried it last year. This is up there with the very best tequilas I've tasted and, for this price, it's an absolute steal!!!
