A great silver tequila, Gran Centenario is made with 10 year old agave plants which are cooked in stone ovens. This is slowly distilled and aged in oak.

I've been drinking Gran Centenario Plata for a decade, and it is the best plata tequila that I've found. Smooth! I discovered it when I lived in Texas, and while a few other Mexico-sourced silver tequilas are close, none that I've encountered match Centenario. I've been to the Hacienda Centenario in Tequila, Mexico, as well. Spectacular! My favorite nightly drink is an ounce of Centenario Plata mixed with 4-6 ounces of Fever Tree Refreshingly Light Indian Tonic, over ice, with a lovely, large, squeeze of fresh lime.
