Batanga blanco Tequila is produced at the Casa Orendain, which was founded all the way back in 1926! It's distilled using 100% agave, harvested from the Orendain plantation and fermented with yeast which is locally produced at the distillery from a recipe which is over 80 years old. Batanga is named after the eponymous drink created in the 1950s, which is a simple recipe of Tequila, cola and lime juice. We're sure the Tequila itself wouldn't go amiss in one of those!
Hallmark green and earthy notes of vegetal agave, bell pepper, black pepper spice and refreshing menthol.

This tequila is our new go to for cocktails at work. It's got a powerful taste that holds its own in cocktails where other tequilas are lost. I couldn't see myself drinking it neat but I'm sure it would appeal to people who want something with a more aggressive flavour. Blows el jimador out of the park.
The Batanga cocktail is tequila, coke, fresh lime (and in Mexico-a pinch of salt) and this budget blanco works fine. Only for mixing though!
