The set includes four 50ml samples from the distillery's Oak Species Maturation Series, selected by master distiller Alasdair Day to explore the influence of different oak species and the diversity of character they can bring to the spirit. Each of the four single malts matured in a different variety of virgin oak cask, Quercus humboldtii, Quercus petraea, Quercus robur, and Quercus muehlenbergii.
