A single malt seven decades in the making
Tales of The Macallan Volume II takes its inspiration from Alexander Reid who founded the distillery in 1824. It consists of a single cask, distilled in 1949, bottled in a unique Lalique decanter in 2022, and released to celebrate the 200th anniversary of this iconic Scotch whisky.
Tales of The Macallan Volume II
This exceptional single malt is the second in the Tales of The Macallan series. It was distilled way back in 1949 and then spent over seven decades maturing before a single cask was selected by whisky maker Euan Kennedy. It was bottled in 2022 and released in 2024 to celebrate 200 years of The Macallan.
Only 344 bottles are available. Each one is housed in a Lalique decanter and comes encased in a handbound book with illustrations by renowned British artist Andrew Davidson.
