Here we have Whyte & Mackay's answer to low ABV tipples. Whyte & Mackay Light is a spirit drink blends together Scotch whisky and sherry before it spent some time in both sherry casks and bourbon barrels. Weighing in at 21.5% ABV, it can be enjoyed over ice or in a longer serve with soda.
Notes of silky caramel, dried fruit and berries with a subtle hint of smoke.

A pleasant summer evening drink over ice when you don’t want full strength whisky, I don’t know what the critics want for a bottle under £12! I can recommend if you want something that is a little differ3nt.
As a Whiskey/scotch drinker if you judge this as a 10+ yo then your not going to like this. If you want to enter and eventually get to the fine taste of a 10+ year old Scotch, then this is just up your street. Same as the days when a sweet white wine or light larger would do when young. If your a Scotch drinker your better off adding water to your normal/favourite, 20-25% to your favourite tipple to get a lower proof. I will add to they added a lot of smoke to hide the body so if you don't like the isle then its not for you either, but on the whole a good entry level scotch.
Absolutely dreadful. Thought I'd get a nice mix of whisky with the added flavour of nutty sherry. Both of which I enjoy. Well off the mark with nasty chemical undertone. I've tasted better cough medicine.
Yep not great at all taste like it's the washed remains of the cask
Not great - I had high hopes for this and it sounds like it should be amazing- there is a hint of smoke and a slight caramelness but it really tastes like it been watered down!! If any whisky says on it recommend as a mixer - you know it’s no good! I’m not sure I can give this away to any homeless. So I might decanter it into another bottle first before leaving it on a bench! Or leave it behind at a party! You never know due to being unpopular in a few years after they stop making it - a bottle might be rare and then worth something!
