A spiced spirit made from a blend of select Caribbean rums that was then aged in oak barrels and flavoured with sweet spices. El Galipote is named after a mythical Caribbean creature that had the power to transform into any object or animal, you can see what appears to be a jaguar on the label, but what did it use to be? Ponder that while you enjoy an El Rum Sour.
El Rum Sour:
40ml El Galipote Spiced
100ml pineapple juice
20ml sugar syrup
20ml lime juice
Combine the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and give it a good shake. Strain into a glass of your choice over ice cubes and garnish with a pineapple leaf or lime peel.
Vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, ginger snaps, and oak char.
Well I got the spiced version of this and was very pleasantly surprised it's a lovely taste the spices in this give it a lovely sweet taste and the oak cask gives a Smokey flavour it's a blend of Caribbean rums so does not have 1 producer but like a blend finished in an oak cask my taste is varied have tried various rums from Cuba, Bahamas and Caribbean and some young American brands I would give it a strong 4,4 5 some of my fave runs are Havana club and mout gay and seals but nice drink
