    The Drinks Lab

    The Drinks Lab Strange Bedfellows

An interesting experimental spirit here from The Drinks Lab, which came about from the team pondering upon a question: could they make a rum that pairs perfectly with a single cask single malt whisky? It wasn't just a pondering though – plans were put into action, and eventually The Drinks Lab produced Strange Bedfellows, a spirit made with a mixture of single malt whisky and a rum combined with raspberries and cinnamon. Unique and tasty stuff, this!

Why not mix up a Strange Sour cocktail? Check out the recipe below:

60ml The Drinks Lab Strange Bedfellows

    25ml Lemon juice, freshly squeezed

    15ml Vanilla syrup

15ml Egg white (or your finest vegan alternative)

    1-2 Dashes of Aromatic bitters

Add Strange Bedfellows, lemon juice, vanilla syrup, and egg white to a shaker and dry shake for 30 seconds without ice. Add ice and shake again until well chilled, then strain into a short glass. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon slice.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Dark fruit, cardamom, quite buttery at points, a hint of orange zestiness giving it some pep.
