    Born Irish

Born Irish is a spirit drink made with a combination of triple distilled Irish whiskey drawn from deeply-charred casks and Irish stout. Expect notes of coffee, chocolate, and warming oaky spices from this one. You can serve it simply by itself, or with cola (plus an orange wedge and plenty of ice), and the producers even say you can try it with a few drops of Tabasco sauce.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Enjoyably bitter dark chocolate notes, a whiff of cinnamon and allspice, orange zest, espresso.

    Incredible

I’m a huge whiskey and stout drinker. Went to Ireland and asked around if there were any decent whiskeys that had been finished in stout casks, everyone kept recommending this. They’ve changed their name (thank you political correctness!) but the taste is still just as incredible! Initial smell is just like a freshly poured famous Irish Stout brand. Taste in deep, chocolatey but not too sweet, almost a slight coffee element. A very easy drinker poured over ice.

    Great pack and juice

My new go-to. Packaging reminds me of a massive Grolsch bottle. Tastes great, especially with coke

    A guilty pleasure

No idea what to expect here but very pleasantly surprised. Sweetish, but with a bitter enough finish to have me coming back for more - it is seasonable. Could be a bit of a quiet guilty pleasure for full on whiskey lovers but I can also see this is designed for a wider market. Overall - unexpectedly very good.

Decent tasty fun but not stouty enough

Very niche so I thought I'd give it a go. I've got a fair amount of experience with spirits and whisky in particular so here we go: In my opinion, forget about this as anything but a mixer or sessionable sipper, but a fun one at that. Drinks somewhere between an Irish whiskey and a molasses heavy rum. It's sweet, but not overly or cloyingly so. For me the main interest was the fact it was a whisky blended with stout, not that it was Irish. I feel that it's missed the mark a bit there. Not enough bitterness to be considered particularly "stouty" if you ask me. Mixed quite well with coke, not tried anything else. Imagine it might be ok with tonic. Maybe worth a punt if you got the money to try new things like this. Very quaffable but not particularly remarkable. Would give this to people who are interested in trying Irish whiskey flavours or whisky in general.
