Doghouse Distillery

A super spirit here from London's Doghouse Distillery, made in the style of an American whiskey. A mashbill of majority corn plus barley and rye was double distilled in a copper pot still and then aged in a charred, virgin American oak for just one year. That's why it's bottled as a moonshine, not whiskey. Serve in a twist on an Old Fashioned or top with lemonade to make a cracking Hard Lemonade.
Vanilla, light caramel and toffee with a hint of popcorn.
Strong oak up front due to its young maturation followed by light caramel and toasty flavours.
A spicy finish.

Talk about underdog. As a whisky drinker I was a bit concerned about the new style, and flavours. But was i wrong. This is bloody delicious. 100% worth a try.
For a 1 year old product this "Moonshine" has incredible depth for its flavour and colour profile. Cant wait to taste their whisky when it comes of age.
