    Dekaraki Tsipouro

A tsipouro pomace brandy made from the muscat grape in the celebrated region of Tirnavos in Thessaly, which has Protected Geographical Indications status. Best enjoyed cool, alongside strong flavoured meze dishes such as grilled cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, or pickled foods.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Notes of sultanas, greengages, and unripe pear with hints of hibiscus, chestnut and citrus.

    The next best thing

OK, so this isn't my favourite tsipouro.....I won't tell you what is, but it comes from the same region; it's just that the shipping cost suggests it's sent direct from Greece although it can be ordered on a UK website. Anyway, my wife & I have developed a taste for tsipouro as an after dinner drink since our holidays on Crete over recent years. In looking for a cheaper (all in) alternative I found Dekaraki, and we now have our second bottle, ready for the summer - just served lightly chilled.
