Yorkshire's Cooper King Distillery has given us a little peek at what's going on with it whisky production by releasing a New-Make as part of the Pilot Series! Made with 100% floor malted barley, the spirit is subtly sweet and spicy, with loads of rounded malt notes running through it. Always exciting to see what a distillery could be working with to make whisky, especially when it's top quality stuff like this.
It's not simply just a fascinating glimpse into the future, but this New-Make also makes a great spirit for cocktails! Cooper King recommend trying it in a Martini with Lustau Vermut Blanco and The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters.
Honeyed and very slightly fruity. Clear, rounded barley elements, developing into softly spicy ginger and pepper notes.
