The coffee beans used for this release were roasted, brewed and cold-distilled in a very short space of time to lock all those compounds that make the freshly-ground coffee completely awesome.
Dried using 100% “honey” process on African beds, the Finca La Casa Caturra coffee (produced by just 4 or 5 farm workers) has lent its markedly spicy notes to the distillate. Fascinating to compare to others in the range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spicy bran flakes in milky coffee, with grassy hints sneaking through.
Palate
Plenty of caramels, joined by the cream from the middle of bourbon biscuits and lightly toasted brown bread.
Finish
Bitter dark chocolate last on the finish. A leafy twist comes through right at the end.
Overall
Bitter, sweet, grassy and delicious.
