Produced by one of Germany's most well-known schnapps producers, Berentzen Apfel is made with a combination of pure wheat spirit and flavoured with sun-ripened apples. Enjoy very cold after a meal, or with a chocolatey pudding.
Tangy, apple-like nose. A little agave nectar and blossom.
Quite light and floral on the palate. Apple jam, sweet cereals. Biscuity.
Long finish. Spiced.
This drink is just awesome, only bad part it is very hard to find here in the US.
I've had this drink before, my father in law brings it over from The Netherlands for me and I look forward to drinking the odd sherry glass full here and there as a night cap. It's not like wine its a spirit - you need much smaller quantities but its very very tasty and you'll soon be going back to the fridge for more!
