In case you couldn’t tell from the name or rather nautical packaging, Watson’s Trawler Rum is a Navy style dark rum, marrying spirits from Barbados and Guyana. The rums have been aged in their countries of origin, before they’re blended together in the UK. A great mixing tipple that should do very well with ginger beer and a good wedge of lime.
Thick, tarry molasses notes on the nose. This also offers up cinnamon and dates.
Coffee beans, spice and dark treacle. A rich, thick, slightly spirity palate.
Develops on oak and fragrant woods.
This is a great traditional rum, full of treacle and spirited warmth. In terms of value for money it's hard to beat and quite sippable on its own with a pleasant dry finish.
This Rum is excellent as a long drink, with either coke or Ginger beer. Outstanding value.
As a seasoned Rum drinker Watson’s Trawer rum is one of the very best.
