A blend of Demerara rums from Guyana. The rums are matured in Guyana before blending.
A thick, syrupy rum with notes of spice and molasses, a little acetone and a buttery mouthfeel.
My favourite dark rum. Dangerously drinkable neat or just a drop of Stones Ginger wine. Don’t go along with “sweet and syrupy” comments though, clean and very smooth proper Demerara rum (Note Demerara is a place, rum is not sweetened with Demerara sugar )
Sadly, I think it's a bit nasty. It left a false smokey aftertaste and a bit of a residue taste.
Honestly it's just a fantastic rum. Easy to drink with a sweet demerara flavour that's great on its own but mixed very well in cocktails
If you like a dark Demerara Rum this one is hard to beat on both flavour and value.
