A superb rum from the equally superb Italian bottler, Velier. The Velier Royal Navy Very Old Rum is built using three well-aged rums, including rum from the Caroni Distillery in Trinidad, Guyanese Demerara rum which was aged in Europe, and Jamaican rum. Bottled at Navy strength, this is extraordinarily rich and powerfully flavoursome stuff.
Spiced fruit compote, freshly cut oak, menthol, prune, oily walnut, quite oily at points.
