Black Tears Spiced Rum marries Cuban rum and Cuban spices, with coffee, cacao and ají dulce, which is a sweet chilli pepper. Full of toasty, roasted flavours, it's not overly sweet, so works very well in a rum Old Fashioned. Just don't skip on the orange peel.
Baking spices, with plenty of cinnamon and nutmeg, leading into coffee bean earthiness.
Caramelised nuts (think pecans and almonds), chocolate richness, softly oaky spices lingering throughout.
Red chilli flake heat on the finish, with more chocolate to mellow it.
Great spiced rum. Not the best for a rum and Coke or for Ginger Ale or Beer. Black Tears would work well with espresso martini or other cocktails and mixers with a predominant coffee or cocoa flavour.
Received a bottle for my birthday. Had a couple of glasses straight after each other Lovely can taste the coffee and a hint of chocolate. nicely warming. Recommend
Very nice sipping rum. Definitely taste the coffee & coca flavours yet none are over powering or sickly. A go to for an exceptional dark spiced rum. Highly recommended
It’s so nice to find a spiced rum that sits on the drier side. There are round notes of coffee and cacao as well as the traditional spices found it spiced rum (nutmeg, ginger etc) great for cocktails, mixers and even sipping.
Beautiful chocolate/coffee taste, very smooth and easy to drink, highly recommend
