Fans of high-ester Jamaican rums will be pretty excited about this expression, brought to us by That Boutique-y Rum Company as part of its Cinema Series. Hailing from an undisclosed Jamaican distillery, this right here is a long-aged high-ester marque rum – rare stuff, and most commonly held back for blending, due to its extremely intense character. While we don't know the distillery, that Boutique-y gang has been able to disclose the marque – C<>H, which ought to offer a clue as to this rum's origins for those in the know. They've also given us plenty of facts to geek out on about the recipe for C<>H – it boasts medium molasses content, high cane juice vinegar, and dunder addition, medium water content, and high muck addition. Distilled in a double retort, the rum was then aged continentally in a bourbon cask for 15 years before being bottled at cask strength. Check our rum guide if you want to learn more about marques, dunder, and muck!
Batch 1 is a release of 385 bottles.
