From Trinidad's Tencane distillery, this 14-year-old pot distilled rum joins the Cinema Series from That Boutique-y Rum Company. Distilled from pressed sugarcane juice, the rum originally matured in Trinidad and Tobago, before being transferred to Barbados, and finally ending up in the UK. A richly oaky, tannic sipper, balanced with plenty of jammy dried fruit tang.
Batch 1 is a release of 288 bottles.
Dates, figs, and cinder toffee lead to waves of buttery vanilla, with leathery oak and a pinch of tobacco.
Jammy forest fruits are balanced by tangy pineapple and juicy citrus, with roasted nuts and pepper creeping beneath.
Warming spice gathers for the finish, with peppercorns, charred oak, and leather lingering.
