From St Nicholas Abbey in Barbados comes an incredibly well-matured single cask rum, which has been bottled at 22 years of age. Always a treat to see rum reach lofty ages like this, and likely to be a treat to taste, too...
Spicy, with cinnamon, fresh pine needles, fudge, vanilla, and a strong whiff of tobacco.
Medium bodied with dried currants, peaches, zesty orange, spice and cinnamon.
Notes of nutmeg, cinnamon spice and a buttery mélange of fruit and brown sugar with a long smooth silky finish.
We were lucky enough to get a private tour of the St Nicholas Abbey estate with its owner Larry Warren back in 2019 and he kindly gave us a sample of the 22 year old from a cask in the cellar. This rum is insanely good and one to cherish. We recently bought a bottle to commemorate our 30th anniversary; the most special occasions demand the most special rum, and St Nicholas Abbey 22 year old is that rum.
I brought this bottle of Rum.from St Nicholas abbey in January 2021 and it is incredible it is so smooth and it really has the Wow factor. It has to be one of the greatest gifts I have every received from my wife except for my children.
