Here we have Runaway Bay, a rum named for a beach on the north coast of Jamaica. The pot still rum brings together rum from four distilleries on the Island, including high ester spirit from Trelawny and rum from Vale of Lluidas. It was then rested in a pair of barrels for at least 11 years, before being bottled in a limited release of 773 bottles. What's more, the glass is made from recycled bottles, topped off with a real cork stopper. A great introduction to high ester rum!
Heaps of ripe, ester-y fruit, namely banana and pineapple, along with coconut cream and unmistakable funk.
Tinned pineapple and freshly cut grass, along with dried fruit and oaky caramel.
Fried banana and ripe esters linger on a dry and peppery finish.

Beautiful aroma. Quite punchy and flavoursome, as you would expect for a Jamaican, but loads of complexity. And did I mention the smell - wow.
Luv this. Buy one as a warming sipper on cold winter evenings every year. Smell is amazing. Long, complex finish. Agree with MoM tasting notes.
I gave this a go and loved it. Agree with the comments below - it has an amazing aroma and sophisticated long finish. Incredible value for the price point.
Hubbie always seems to love this every time he unwraps it! Great product. Arrived on time.
A friend recommended this a few months' ago. Loved it. Not an introductory drop but perfect for the experienced rum fanatatic...
