Well aged Cuban rum from the Ron Varadero range - a brand you're much more likely to see in mainland Europe, where it's particularly popular. This Añejo expression has been matured for at least 15 years before bottling.

Smooth, refined, delicious and extremely easy to drink neat. Has a strong smooth hint of banana on the palate. While surely less complex than sipping say a Zacapa XO, it's certainly elegant and easier to drink. There's no sense of it being a "hard" liquor spirit at all. Which is good for your health and fortitude, whereas, if you drink too much Zacapa XO you'll surely feel it the next day. Don't misunderstand me..Zacapa is fantastic and in an extremely high class of spirits.
