A delicious dark rum from Ron Pampero, Pampero Aniversario is made in continuous stills in Venezuela. It's full, rich and very fruity.
Molasses and chocolate. Hints of cocoa butter, creamy vanilla, soft spice and hay.
Very oily. Smooth, supple notes of fruit and spice. A little cocoa and caramel.
Vanilla and soft smoke on the finish.

Sipping from this bottle covered by its leather pouch is the absolute best rum experience. Makes the best sipping rum out there also the coolest. Tastes great, smooth even in aftertaste, and will make you a happy camper.
Zacapa and Mount Gay Extra Old are my other top listers, but Pampero Anniversario is smoother, more complex flavor, something I like more often and under varied circumstances. I'm a sipper; don't waste this mixing.
Its a good rum, no doubt. The nose is a little boring for me, a bit of sugar... and thats it really. If forced to come up with more i would say it reminds me of getting drunk on the meadows of Denmark. In the mouth i find a pleasant sweetness with hints of leather that roll over into rolling tobacco and a faint touch of rosted bananas. The finish is drying and leaves a taste in my mouth that reminds me of the smell of dry foilage from coconut-palms. And the presentation is flawless. I love the round bottle, the leather bag and the colour. I would buy this again but not before I finish the first bottle. I found it to be better about 3 months after first opening. Maybe i had just had better or maybe it got nicer. Go find out, dont take my word. CM
Just amazing rum from Venezuela. Firm favourite amongst Diplomatico and Santa Teresa. Worth every penny and love the packaging
This is one or maybe one of the best runs from back home, really smothered, and richest...
