This rum is produced with locally sourced sugar cane at Panama's esteemed Varela Hermanos distillery before enjoying a decade-long maturation in American oak casks. The result is a rich and complex sipper, brimming with layers of robust oaken vanilla and spice, butterscotch and cane juice, and an elegant texture that'll work well for neat sipping, and ought to shine in a Highball topped with soda or ginger ale, and garnished with fresh lime.
Rich layers of oaken vanilla and woody spice join toffee, butterscotch, and pressed cane, with burnt brown sugar and a touch of fragrant pepper beneath.

Tried for the first time, very enjoyable
Very reminiscent of a Mauritian rum with that sugar cane characteristic that you don't get as much from the Carribbean rums. The nose is definitely butterscotch and the pallet is sugar cane with hints of burnt toffee. Smooth and moreish! Looking forward to trying the 25 year old when it comes out.
