A superb-looking decanter bottle of XO rum from Barbados, aged in bourbon barrels before being shipped to France for a secondary maturation in Cognac casks from the Ferrand house. The result is a well balanced rum with a remarkably long finish, with a palate of chocolate, banana, coconut and mango. Now this is some very good stuff.
Hints of spicy oak on the nose, with guava, a little desiccated coconut and dried banana. Buttery.
Spiced, creamy palate entry, with sweet vanilla notes and caramel. Oaky spices.
Caramel. Toasted oak.

Two recent rums I've recently been enjoying are the diplomatico reserva exclusiva and the companero extra anejo.. I bought this rum to try something a little different ignoring a few bad reviews but it's fair to say I'm quite disappointed, feels like it's been watered down.. Definitely not a premium rum. £30 I'd be happy.
Smooth ,sweet and easy to drink
Nice rum but nothing special considering the price. Are you paying for a fancy bottle? El Dorado 15 and Doorly's 12 are two examples in this price range which offer so much more.
An OK rum but its insanely sweet with all that added sugar, put your $$$ elsewhere
Very nice for the price
