A superb-looking decanter bottle of XO rum from Barbados, aged in bourbon barrels before being shipped to France for a secondary maturation in Cognac casks from the Ferrand house. The result is a well balanced rum with a remarkably long finish, with a palate of chocolate, banana, coconut and mango. Now this is some very good stuff.
Hints of spicy oak on the nose, with guava, a little desiccated coconut and dried banana. Buttery.
Spiced, creamy palate entry, with sweet vanilla notes and caramel. Oaky spices.

This is wonderful. As rums go it is not over sweet as some reviewers have claimed. The flavour is intense dark chocolate, marzipan, black treacle. My favourite rum to date.
Brilliant taste only thing is the bottle will go too fast!

My favourite rum so far. This rum is smooth and easy to sip on, I find adding ice dilutes the flavour so perhaps best at room temp or with a few drops of water. Very tasty and easy to drink rum and worth the money in my opinion
