Here we have the result of a collaboration between New Dawn and East London Liquor Company, which began its life in the Dominican Republic. Initially solera aged, the liquid was then decanted into European oak Port wine barrels and began its journey across the Atlantic. Finally, it arrived at East London Liquor Company, and rested for another year before it was bottled at cask strength. We're a huge fan of the ceramic decanter hand-crafted in Hackney, which looks rather like a piece of modern art.
Rich black treacle, salted caramel and a hit of root ginger and pepper spice, with a very subtle undertone of rose petal and a sprinkle of brown sugar.
