Celebrating the centuries-old connection between Portuguese settlers and local communities in Goa, India, this rum takes influence from both countries! The spirit is distilled in Goa, and spends a year maturing in ruby Port casks imported from Portugal. It's then infused with the three spices that first drew Portuguese explorers to the region, black pepper, cinnamon, and clove.
Sweet notes of dates and figs, dustings of cocoa, salted almonds, and warming waves of pepper and clove.
A stunningly spiced spirit that's just a little rough at the edges to really enjoy neat. But as a cocktail component on in the classic rum n cola it's divine! Looking forward to the producer's first fully aged smoother bottle!
This rum was quite good , can definitely taste the country of origin in the flavour profile
