A dark rum that works well in cocktails, Myer's Rum is a Jamaican rum named after Fred L Myers who created that brand in 1879. It is a blend of 9 different rums.
Probably the best dark rum around for this price point. Very smooth thanks to white oak ageing, and very good value for money, but... Beyond smoothness there's not much else going for it, faultless as a mixer but neat it's a bit two dimensional. I love it nonetheless, but know what what you're getting here.
Like others first had it in the Army in Germany. Not had it in years till I found it in a shop in Clitheroe. Nice to be able to get it from another source.
First had this Ron in Germany in 1975 and I still can't stop it's my absolute favourite drink
