A limited edition of Mount Gay Eclipse Rum from Barbados, created by master blender Trudiann Branker. The is a combo of traditional column and double retort pot still rum, matured in charred American whiskey barrels and bottled up at navy strength – a hearty 57.1% ABV.
Fragrant notes of vanilla and aromatic spices with rich tropical fruit and leathery oak open the way for layers of butterscotch, burnt sugar, salted chocolate, and rich coffee.

Having drunk Mt Gay eclipse since 1999, I thought I'd give the navy strength a try whilst on by one get one half price. Just opened the first bottle and had a taster. Oh my, its fantastic! More concentrated flavour than the standard eclipse, with the kick of higher abv. Glorious stuff.....
