Mount Gay is not my favourite brand of rum or even the best island or country rum however Mount Gay Black Barrel is definetly in my top 15 or top 20 rums. Mount Gay Black Barrel makes the one of the best rum and Ginger Ale and one of the best Daiquiris.
Delicious rum but only a small step up from Eclipse
Absolutely delicious Rum bursting with a real depth of flavours, Packs a punch too, but in a very pleasant way. One of my favourites.
Brilliant!! A rum to be savoured and taken very slowly in order to appreciate the subtle flavours. Enjoy!
To me, this wasn't a big step up from Eclipse. It seemed like young rum with the barrel char added to make it more interesting. I would say Havana Club 7 and El Dorado 12 offer more flavour, depth and interest. Wanted to like it but couldn't recommend it.
