Old Monk Rum is a massively popular 7 year old rum from India, which amazingly became one of the highest selling dark rums in the world without advertising their gin - they rely on word of mouth and loyalty of their fans. It certainly seems to work!

I'm a whiskey drinker but the the old monk is very smooth and hits hard ..be soft on it if you ain't a frequent drinker..
i am a whisky drinker.. BUT this rum is frigging good.. very complex nose .. smooth taste due the 7 years of age in the barrel, fruity.. banana, BIG time caramel/toffee and hints of cola.. .. finish is humble medium length
Crazily one of my favourite mixing rums. Unique flavour profile makes it difficult to pass by. Initial flavour of industrial plastic quickly gives way to deep rich vanilla and demerara. Definitely not the choice of a connoisseur and I'm sure its nowhere near 7 years old, but I love it.

Vanilla and spice and everything nice.. this is perfectly balanced and no flavour is in your face kinda... Smooth and flavorful.. with long aftertaste
