Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.
This is now my go-to rum replacing Cruzan dark. Kraken is smooth & rich. I've only had it with Southern Comfort eggnog and it makes the best Eggnog I've ever had!
Can't even fast any spice. Mulled wine is spicy this just tasts of rum and that's it
This rum is heavily spiced. It's dark and rich but has a little too much vanilla for my liking. It gives it a sweetness that is close to a liqueur than rum.
It's not bad for what it is I'm not really a softdrink-liquor-mixing kinda guy, but i use this to make my guests a rum&cola if they request one. I find these way better than p.e. Bacardi or havana club. It's good but it's nothing to be blown away by.
