Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.

See that bottle? The lable? Why haven't you bought it yet? What the hell is wrong with you? No wonder your mother never loved you.
Forgot to add - 9 /10 stars for me
A few mixed reviews below, but to date this is one of my favourites. Tried it at a Drambusters rum tasting and both me and my brother couldn't wait too order a bottle and get it home. Excellent with ginger beer more than coke, but also very drinkable on its own. Nice bottle too.
I bought a miniature at local liquor store. I mixed it with a splash of coke. I didn't like the after taste of rum. Had somewhat of a chocolate after taste. It's kind of bland tasting with no excitement to it. There are much better dark rums on the market than this stuff. Marketing is A+++. Taste is a D-.
Being a rum fanatatic and having tasted many many different rums over the years. I can tell you that this is awful stuff with clever marketing. I suggest that if you like spiced rum that you should buy a bottle of chairmans reserve spiced, it will cost a little bit more but boy its worth every penny.Try this simple test to check the quality buy both and see how much longer the taste holds in your mouth with the chairmans and the actual taste. There simply is no comparison.
