Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.

This rum is so smooth it’s one of the only spirits I could and would drink neat or on the rocks. I do prefer mixed though. So many flavours but same time isn’t overpowering on any particular flavour note. Just a brilliant array of flavours in general. Defiantly will be buying again.
Normally I mix with coke as my go to drink and Kraken does go well with it but not as good as other rums. After reading someone's review on here about mixing with cream soda I tried it and it's a game changer, miles better than it is with coke. The vanilla from the cream soda mixes brilliantly with the flavours from Kraken.
