Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.

I have loved this rum for 2 years now but i just bought a 1.75 L bottle and it has a awful after taste, t i love my rum Bought feb 1 in parksville bc canada. I’m not a complainer but hopefully this wont happen again . I only drink kraken now as i love the rich flavours, don’t want to have to switch back to other rums
At last! When I walk into a pub there's a chance there's a decent spiced rum on the shelf! As a serious fan of the spiced rum category, i'm quite happy to drink this all night when out with friends. It's definitely worth it's price tag, my only gripe is the poor quality screw cap. Would be better to have a cork stopper. Treat yourself to one of the ceramic bottle releases as they have a proper stopper and look awesome on your drink shelf.
Tastes way better than Gosling, Cruzan, Captain, Bacardi, Sailor Jerry, and all of the other usual suspects. If you're not a rum snob (and if you are, try Matusalem Gran Reserva) you will love with. A little spicy, a little sweet, but not overbearingly so in either direction.
Smooth 'n' sweet with a kick at the end. Love it, hohoho and a bottle of rum
Tried a Dark and Stormy at a pub one evening, chatting at the bar... I was hooked. Mix it with Fever Tree ginger ale, and its just so so moorish.. Im a lover of Redleg, but this is a different beast.
