Kraken Spiced Rum is an excellent example of spiced rum, with utterly brilliant packaging! This was launched in the UK in early 2010, and it has an extraordinarily rich, spicy flavour. Named for the legendary sea monster, Kraken is a blend of Caribbean rums that should certainly suit any fans of rich, navy-style rum.
Spicy and rich with notes of vanilla and toffee apples. Hints of lime and cinnamon too.
Dark, rich palate. Thick with molasses and tar, and a barrage of cinnamon, golden syrup, nutmeg and charred oak.
Long, very spicy finish.
okay rum, was captivated by the marketing campaign a couple of years back before it was available in the UK. especially at the price, doesn't live up to the hype.
Amazing stuff with lime and ginger ale. Easy to drink neat or with ice
I like the rum because it has a nice plesent smell to it and its smooth in the mouth, tastes sweat and creamy.
Great bottle design, fantastic dark rum, a must for rum lovers.
I've had a few rums in my time, the love of old sea monster stories enticed me to trying this, was not disappointed! works well on ice with a slice of lime, or add to Kahlua and milk for an excellent white cuban. A great rum, with a solid price :) try it!
