Blackwell Black Gold Rum was created by Chris Blackwell, who also happens to be the owner of Island Records. The dark rum itself is distilled and blended by J. Wray & Nephew in Jamaica. It was made in the style of a traditional recipe from the days when Blackwell's mother's family owned J. Wray & Nephew and the Appleton estate.
Bittersweet mocha and woody spice, with touches of oak char and caramel throughout alongside a burst of vibrant ripe tropical fruit, namely kiwi.

The dark horse of Rums. For the price one of the most underrated rums that I have had the privilege to drink. Great bottle with that pirate feel to it. Cannot say enough about this £20 rum. Superb. A staple Rum for all!
