Blackwell Black Gold Rum was created by Chris Blackwell, who also happens to be the owner of Island Records. The dark rum itself is distilled and blended by J. Wray & Nephew in Jamaica. It was made in the style of a traditional recipe from the days when Blackwell's mother's family owned J. Wray & Nephew and the Appleton estate.
Bittersweet mocha and woody spice, with touches of oak char and caramel throughout alongside a burst of vibrant ripe tropical fruit, namely kiwi.

Nice dark rum packed with Jamaican funk and perfect for mixing. Great value!
Great Value Jamaican Rum !!
LOVE IT !!!! This is a Great Rum, struggled to find it previously so was so pleased it is available from Masters of Malt.
Real rum taste and real traditional rum aroma so it does not have whisky flavor or after taste; therefore, whisky barrels were not used during its aging process. It is dark, smooth, full bodied and far better than higher priced rums available to the public
Most underrated. Great value. I find the "pirate map" label gets a bit annoying after I've had a couple of drinks - this rum is well above any gimmicks.
