An exceptional expression from the Gosling's range. Family Reserve was once produced exclusively for members of the Gosling family (as the name suggest), but they have since decided to share this fantastic top quality rum from Bermuda. Each bottle is hand labelled, dipped in wax, packed into boxes, stamped, put in the post box, you'll even hand pour it into your glass... This corking rum was given a Double Gold Medal at the 2005 San Francisco World Spirit Competition.
Rich, creamy aromas. Hints of calves leather, dark chocolate, candied orange and spice.
Thick notes of orange marmalade and molasses, bitter dark chocolate, cooked apples and black pepper. A little cedar.
Long, oaky finish.

Reminds me of sherry when opened but much better to drink. I put an ice cube in a glass and pour rum just so the cube is covered, wait short time and then enjoy. My special time rum
Reminds me of sherry when first opening, I put an ice cube in a glass before pouring this lovely smooth rum to just above the ice. Leave for a few minutes before savouring.
If you have a sweet tooth this is for you. its dark, rich, sweet, smooth and far too easy to drink. before i knew it half the bottle was gone. it has a fantastic nose and mouthfeel & a definate 5/5 for me, and although id like to see it a bit stronger, will certainly buy it again
I have nothing more to say than; just buy it, drink it, enjoy it. Exquisite.
This is an excellent full body Carmel rum. A true delight, always have one of these on hand for a nice drink and for those friends that can appreciate the rich flavor.
