“My wife and I stayed in Bermuda for the entire month of May in 2005. While there we tasted and fell in love with the taste of Gosling's Gold. We had been looking for an exceptional amber rum for years, and have sampled many, many rums from around the world. Gosling's Gold is it for us. Not overpowering, very smooth, nicely understated, but exceptionally hard to get in Canada, outside of Nova Scotia. ”

Description

A Gold award winner at the 2003 International Rum Festival Awards. Gosling's Gold is a blend of pot still and continuous still spirits from Bermuda, aged for around five years.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of medium-body with notes of crème anglaise, stone fruits, dried peels, tropical fruit salad, toasty oak and a hint of spice. The palate is gentle and rounded with notes of zest and fruit salad, a little nut oil note with pepper and oak.

Goslings Bermuda Gold

The tasting notes of the MoM are spot on……..The nose is of medium-body with notes of crème anglaise, stone fruits, dried peels, tropical fruit salad, toasty oak and a hint of spice. The palate is gentle and rounded with notes of zest and fruit salad, a little nut oil note with pepper and oak. A perfect gold rum.

Lovely marmite

I don't like marmite, but i love this, has a really unique flavour unlike any other rum i've had. As others have said you'll either get it or you won't.....if you do you will want more.

Smells and tastes a bit like paint thinner.

Possibly the worst rum I've ever consumed. Got it on sale for a mere $7.00 for a one liter bottle at my local grocer, and now I know why. Since I'm too cheap to throw $7.00 away by pouring it down the sink, I'm racking my brain for mixers that might entirely conceal its flavor.

Smoother than an oiled otter.

Goslings Gold Seal is subtle - deliciously smooth and creamy with no harsh edges or challenging flavours. Not the most intense or exciting rum but really pleasurable and easy drinking. Best for sipping in my opinion - its subtle flavours could be overpowered in a cocktail. Great value too.

Smooth and unique.

Very smooth with a unique taste. It's not an especially strong taste but I would hesitate to call it weak. Goes down great with a mixer.
