A super high strength dark rum from Bermuda. Despite the 75.5% of Gosling's Black Seal 151, this is a very smooth rum, and it's utterly delicious. Well worth trying.

I cannot understand how anyone can review this rum as smooth. It’s possibly one of the roughest rums I’ve tasted. Maybe good for cocktails or with a mixer (Nelson will be turning in his grave!) Four Bells from Guyana for beautiful smooth rum.
151 proof eh? Well, if, like me, you had your doubts you can do what I did and tack on a 'drinks by the dram' sample onto an order - costs less than a single measure in a bar. The 'dram' is actually a generous measure. So, what's it like? I must admit to taking the merest sip 'as it came' just to see what it was like. It packs a punch, no doubt about it. Opened up with a drop of water it still held its ground. Smooth and easy to drink, it doesn't have the burnt sugar crunch of Woods or Pusser's Gunpowder. It's understandably 'dry' with more of a well aged single malt buzz to it - there's a definite hint of an aged cask in the flavour. I like it a lot and will be adding a bottle to my next order.
Makes an absolute belter of a Dark and Stormy. Be warned it gets messy very very quickly with this stuff.
I think this has a really nice taste, but the alcohol content takes some getting used to. I like cask strength whisky around 60%, but this is a different ball game. I will just have to work on it. Has anybody told Donald Trump about this, it might fit his idea of administering medicine on the inside!
Got this for a xmas get together cocktail mixer. Had one taste and thought, thats probably the best tasting rum I have had in a long while. Kept this and got some cheap stuff from tesco for the cocktail.
