A handsomely packaged, beautiful little rum from El Dorado (one of our all-time favourites when it comes to Rum). This 5 year old Gold rum is fruity, rich and intensely buttery, and we have a feeling a premium Daiquiri might just be in order. This stuff is made mainly with spirit made at Uitvlugt and the Savale stills, as well as Enmore's wooden Coffey still.
Hints of nutmeg and vanilla and obviously brown sugar. Good enough to sip neat, cheap enough to mix. Don't let the new age and low price deceive you - this is a Caribbean gem that in my opinion gives the best of Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Cuba a run for the money....

I'd say this is one of the best under £25 gold rums you can get (on a quality par, but more tropical in taste, with Havana Club 7). I'm always on the lookout for ED5 on offer. Good for sipping and I'm in agreement with MoM, it makes for an amazing Daiquiri.
