The first release from Scotland's Dark Matter Distillers is Dark Matter Spiced Rum - very exciting stuff! Created in Banchory by two brothers, Jim and John Ewen, Dark Matter Spiced Rum is a molasses-based rum that features full-bodied notes of long pepper, fresh ginger, green peppercorns and allspice.

My son bought this for my birthday and I am amazed how well the heavy spices work in the drink. I have tasted many spiced rums before but none like this and will certainly have another bottle or two of this particular one.
So much better neat. Love it.
The strength of flavour is sensational. It's a great spiced rum with ginger ale and a slice of lime.
Had d/m for the first time and loved the flavor of it and the spicy notes that were left in the mouth would recommend it to anyone even if the are not Rum drinkers bet it would be great to have before or after a curry
Not bad once you get past the very heavily spiced initial taste. This is more like a gimmicky 'fireball' tipple than a nice sipping rum. Shame because I really wanted to like this one.
