The first release from Scotland's Dark Matter Distillers is Dark Matter Spiced Rum - very exciting stuff! Created in Banchory by two brothers, Jim and John Ewen, Dark Matter Spiced Rum is a molasses-based rum that features full-bodied notes of long pepper, fresh ginger, green peppercorns and allspice.

Don't even bother mixing, straight up is the way to go.
I can cope with it,but there is way too much clove flavour to this. Don't get me wrong it gets better bythe third glass, but I can't help but feel if they backed off the cloves by 50% this would be a massive hit. I've tried with ice,fresh orange and tomato juice, going to try apple juice next.
Obviously the dark matter has taken taken over on this festive day!! But looking at the label it's a real lab label!!! I'll leave it there.

This rum is exceptional, but I can understand why some would struggle with it. For those saying they don't like it try adding Fiery Jamaican Ginger Beer to it. Seriously delightful
