Powerfully smoky rum from the Cut Rum range. Made with a base of Jamaican rum and smoked using oak chips, this will stand out in cocktails and might make for an intriguing alternative postprandial tipples for people with a penchant for peaty whisky.
Struck match, coffee bean bitterness balanced by vanilla.

VERY smoky, smells like caramel and ashtrays, almost undrinkable, there are strong flavours in there but the aftertaste is like a mouthful of cigarette ends. Definitely would not buy again and won't even drink this bottle.
Not a huge amount of smoke - but I usually drink Islay's peatier malts so the bar is set high. The main taste I got was caramel, maybe slightly salted - is this actually a spiced rum? Whether the answer to that question is a yay or a nay, I think folk who like spiced rums will maybe appreciate this more than I did. It's not a bad tipple, just not in the class of Pussers or Woods as rums go. Worth a try if you want to liven up a tasting evening.
Really nice, and excellent value
Fuckin’ awesome
