Canerock is a fantastic drink created by the team at Maison Ferrand, using aged Jamaican rums at its core, including a generous helping of high-ester rums. Alongside these rums, the team infuses the likes of Madagascan vanilla pod, Jamaican ginger, and Caribbean coconut into the spirit, and a portion is given some extra time in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks to allow its flavour profile to develop further. An impressive expression indeed, more than suitable for sipping neat, but will also be excellent for upgrading your rum cocktails.
Ripe banana, cherry, cinnamon, stem ginger, almond, all wrapped up in rich vanilla.
I bought some of this (as been meaning to get it for some time) and as there was a bogohp as a deal, thought rude not to. I wanted to be sure so ended up drinking this over an evening (3 large drinks) with some coke and I'm happy to say its exactly as I'd hoped..very nice mixing, and I suspect probably quite nice neat (I'm not one for neat really), as its unusual (it is sweet though like some have commented). Good stuff and worth a try in my books!
Finally, a dangerously drinkable spiced rum that actually tastes of rum and is not too sweet
It tastes exactly like cheap vanilla essence
Sweet and strong , tasty , but not my favourite.
Discovered this exquisite spiced rum at the Rum festival in London and had to buy a bottle as soon as I got home. This smells so good - very caramel-y and it tastes so balanced too. Not too spicy so as to over-power it, not too sweet, not harsh if supping neat all night too. So good!
