An impressive Venezuelan rum here, independently bottled by Rumtown. It was distilled by C.A.C.D. back in 2004, and it spent 17 years maturing (mostly in Venezuela, partially in the Dominican Republic, a finally in the UK) before being bottled up at 57.7% ABV. It's got a huge, rewarding flavour profile just waiting to be enjoyed.
Dark chocolate, toffee, rum-soaked dried fruit, a kick of allspice and nutmeg.

The bottle arrived unexpectedly quick to my home, so I was all set to sip on a rum I had heard about. So I set my set up with a fine cheese board and glowing fire, it getting a bit chilly now. As it turned out I had no need for the fire. "This rum warmed the cockles of my heart. This rum is delicious! I sat and savoured layers of flavours vanilla, treacle, spice rounded with lingering dark chocolate notes of the everlasting finish. Perfect unique gift for a rum enthusiast!" Will it last till Christmas?..... I doubt it
